Kite Surfing in Waves
New Spirit Dakhla is just a 5-minute drive from a stunning wave kitesurfing spot on the Atlantic coast: Pointe d’Or. This is a fantastic wave spot with side-shore winds and very few crowds. You’ll rarely encounter other kitesurfers outside of your group here. We recommend this spot only for advanced and confident kitesurfers. In the winter, when the winds are a bit more moderate, the waves run much cleaner, allowing for long rides downwind. At high tide, there’s a bit of shorebreak. With no rocks or other obstacles and a sandy bottom, it’s a great place to train.
Excursion Kite Surfing Waves
We head to the surf spot in groups of at least 4 people. The tour is offered on days with good swell and no wind (for surfing) or with moderate wind (for wave kitesurfing). You can book the tour with or without instruction from an instructor.
